2 Friends Guest House

Forget Kampala; take the time to travel to Jinja in Uganda. There is a hideaway called 2 Friends Guest House that makes you feel as though you have landed in Paradise. We were met by the manager, Karl, and after checking in we were offered complimentary drinks by the pool side.

The staff is friendly and helpful and we found that we had only to ask and it was done. There are two areas where you can order food and drinks, poolside or at the main restaurant and bar.

There is a wonderful menu that caters to all from casual diners through to ala carte. The bar has a fine assortment of beverages.

For accommodation guests have a choice of poolside cabanas or rooms in the main house.

We chose the poolside and spent many hours by the pool with staff ensuring that we weren't dehydrated or fading away.

We spent a glorious week at 2 Friends and went fishing, caught a Nile Perch, white water rafting with Nile Explorers, toured Jinja and the source of the Nile.

Other Hotels in this Area

Surjio's Guest House | Hairy Lemon | Gately on Nile | 2 Friends Guest House | Hotel Paradise on the Nile | Eden Rock Resorts | Nile Anchor Palace | Timton Hotel | Sunset International Hotel | Brisk Hotel Triangle |

The local people are friendly and always smiling and ever helpful. Jinja is a great place to experience the richness of Uganda and 2 Friends is one of those rare places that you stay at and never want to leave.

We had a lovely room and bathroom, very tastefully decorated, clean and cosy. The pool area is very nice, although the pool is pretty small.
