With its Maasai architecture, the lodge has been designed to harmonize perfectly with the environment. There are 96 beautifully appointed guest rooms with authentic African murals. Guests are invited to plant a tree to help reforest the land that was becoming barren from herds of elephants tearing up trees for food. Hundreds of trees have been planted to date.

Other activities include game drives twice a day; sundowners on Observation Hill; traditional feasts and tribal dancing overlooking a waterhole where big game gather; musical evenings; and visits to the traditional manyattas of the Amboseli Maasai people of Kenya.
