Artcaffe restaurant Nairobi

Probably one of the only malls in Nairobi.

The brands are a bit flat and boring and so shopping for me was not an option,

However the newly opened Artcaffe restaurant Nairobi has changed the scene for the mall.

Ideally located on the ground level facing the main mall entrance the cafe attracts everyone. It has an alfresco seating as well.

They have a bakery stall right outside in case you want to pick their fresh baked produce and take it home with you.

Other Restaurants in Nairobi 

As you enter you cannot miss noticing the cafe ambience together with a light jazz music in the background.

The servers are all dressed in white tops and jeans with half an apron. The menu is very much cafe with some mains, some burgers, malts, shakes, salads and pizzas.

Since I have less time than usual I skipped the entrees and went for a veggie burger with cheese.

Kind enough of them to let me know that the cheese will cost me extra!

Their bottled water is not branded but specially bottled for them. Another clever way of making more money.

They have free wifi with password as "freewestgate". Worked for me fine!

As soon as I had ordered the burger the waitress came and set up the table with ketchup, fresh black pepper mill and Tabasco.

Most people at about 1 pm have been sitting with their laptop working and sipping coffee.

This has definitely become the hang out place for the Kenyan social circle. Lots of expats.

The price seems to be a bit high for the locals but then there is a lot more freshness to the food here.

I will recommend the place a must when you are in nairobi
