Banda Inns is home away from home with comfortable rooms, convenient breakfast, DSTV in the common living space, wireless, free laundry and reasonable rates.
The owners have great suggestions for getting around the country and offer a relaxed environment for a pleasant short term stay.
There are decent restaurants in the area and even a wine bar within walking distance.
For someone traveling on NGO work or looking for a space where the children can run around a bit, the value is great
Banda Inns is a nice place to stay for a few nights. The garden is an oasis - a great start into the day having your breakfast on the cozy terrace with a nice view into the nicely arranged garden.
We enjoyed going for scrambled eggs and omelettes every morning and the staff was very nice.
Once again returned from Uganda after an excellent stay at Banda Inns. Realizing how much this place means to me as a proper base for my project planning.
Proper internet. Excellent shuttle service.
Possibility to arrange for a car with a careful driver for any purpose at a reasonable cost. A nice clean, wellkept room upstairs.
"My" room is "The Queen Suite" upstairs (named by me). The place and the staff make me feel completely safe and secure and there is the restful idea of total trust.
Never mind if I lose concentration on practical issues and leave my laptop or handbag (including valuables) on a table downstairs (as happened!) - there will either be a knock on the door and the things handed over - or will the things still be there when coming back!
Also the breakfast on the veranda overlooking the green garden is worth mentioning, never mind if rain or sun - an excellent start of the day!
Actually the location of Banda Inns is not perfect in relation to where I usually have my office contacts at the other side of the city.
But never mind! Having this pleasure of staying at Banda Inns and having the support of Asteria, Steven and Kafeero is invaluable.
