Diani Beach Chalets

You are Here: › Diani Beach Charlets

Diani Beach Charlets Mombasa is a great place if traveling with kids. Chalets mostly set behind a lawn overlooking the beach with a couple set back amongst the trees missing the lovely sea breeze. Very basic but spacious with good verandas, living area and kitchen. After living out of a backpack it was great to have the space and be able to cook for ourselves for a little while.

Beware the monkeys who come in the chalets looking for food when the doors are left open! Good security.

We stayed there during the rainy season, but as the temperatures are still great it didn't really matter. Though it was very humid and sticky at times but you can dress to that.

The chalet we stayed in was on the first floor and had a lovely balcony where we sat most mornings and evenings.

It was very spacious and felt very safe (guard is present day and night).

It's a good place to stay when you want to relax after backpacking. Tuktuks drive past on the main roads on a regular basis so it's easy to get to the local Nakumatt and other shops.

When tides are low it's a lovely walk on the beach to get to water sports facilities or Ali Barbour's.
