The location of Fisherman’s Camp is beautiful, green grass, big tress, full of birds, nice view of the lake.
Really like a paradise until we enter in our banda.
On the other side, the staff was really nice and
helpful.
So, go there for a nice drink with a nice lake view, even you can see some hippos if you stay there long enough, but don't stay there if you want a quite and medium or average place.
Definitely a good option if you don't have a big group to share the cost of the more expensive accommodation at Fisherman's Camp, some of which costs more on weekends. Each Banda has it's own place for a campfire and we bought enough wood to last all night for KES200.
The only problem we had was that the bedding wasn't quite good enough to keep everyone warm at night, so consider bringing sleeping bags or extra clothes to sleep in.
It was basic accommodation but a good budget option for exploring Hell's Gate National Park (Elsa Gate 5km), Crater Lake Game Sanctuary, and other nearby attractions.
Meals, a full bar, tourist activities and bike hire are available at Fisherman's Camp down at the water's edge.
To get there from Nairobi take a Matatu from the River Road/Accra Road area to Naivasha (KES200 per person, around 90 minutes), and a second Matatu from Naivasha to Fisherman's Camp (KES80 per
Maybe if you camp the story is different, but then, watch out for the noise coming from the bar at night.
I really think the place could be much improved
and make the price worthy if they just invest a bit in improving the bandas,
make them a bit nicer and more comfortable for the guest. Not much to ask for.
