Highview Hotel in Ngorogoro Tanzania is in am amazing setting.
The views are incredible and the gardens of the hotel are beautiful and fragrant.
I stayed in a triple room with two friends.
The beds were large and comfortable.
The staff helped us with our bags up the slope to our room, and were waiting to help us back when we checked out too.
There are nice touches like umbrellas you can
take to get from the restaurant to your room when it rains, and lanterns in
case of electricity shortages.
The sofas in the bar area are lovely and comfortable, and the complimentary hot drinks after a day on safari are a welcome service too.
The food was good - with 4 course dinners each
night; delicious soups and lovely avocado salads as starters.
This property is owned by Zara Tours and their daily routine is flawless. It is an all inclusive hotel so your dinner buffet opens from 7:30-9:30 with many options (albeit similar through the nights) and breakfast is around the same hours in the a.m.
They have a bar area with a traditional dance/music show each night and the great thing is that when you order beverages they just tally it up so you can pay when you leave, much like a cruise ship.
They offer luggage storage (not secure, so only leave stuff you don't care too much about) and free internet in the same room but the internet is very slow and because the electricity goes off every so often you may have to wait a while before the 2 computers are back up. I wanted Wifi but the receptionist was too busy to give me the code & the signal was never stable.Sep 21, 14 03:38 PM
