Over the past two years I have stayed in Kigali twice, both in Hotel Isimbi. The hotel is excellent value for money, I stayed in a double room for £18 a night.
I would
recommend asking for a room at the back of the hotel as the front can be noisy
in the day.
The rooms are have a double bed, two wardrobes which can be locked, mosquito net, dressing table, digital TV (only a few channels including international news) and small balcony.
The bathroom consists of bath with a shower head that.
Rooms are cleaned and towels are changed daily.
The staff are very friendly, particularly if you try to talk to them in
Kinyarwanda, a simple 'Muraho' goes a long way.
The hotel is immaculately clean. Its location is
fantastic for the city centre. The restaurant is very good, as with everywhere
in Rwanda, expect to wait at least 30mins for a meal. The soup is very good.
Service is excellent.
