Perfect location, attentive hosts and everything that was promised and more! If you want a quiet and lazy few days in a beautiful location Hotel Malahide Paradis in Gisenyi Rwanda is for you!

We stayed in the first bungalow, with doors opening to a view of the lake. The location of the hotel meant we stayed put for food but it was always perfect and with good variety, and as we were staying here for a few chilled days it wasn't a problem at all.

The location of the Paradis Malahide is lovely, right on the side of the lake. Although it is located in a small town so not as remote as I expected.

The hotel has free canoe hire and you can go out to the island that they own - you will be the only ones there!

A guy comes round at 6pm every evening with a book of different activities you can do.

Food was good and portion sizes were huge. Water was a bit overpriced. They charge 700RWF for a 500ml bottle.

If you walk 100mtrs down the road it costs exactly the same for a 1.5ltr bottle.

If you dont have transport it cost me 5,500RWF for a taxi from the bus station and 6000RWF back again.

Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and some are really trying to work on improving their english. Overall nice place to spend a few days if the weather is good.
