Having been to this establishment thrice now I must say Hotel Paradise on the Nile is a pleasant place to stay while in Jinja town Uganda.
Its serene view of the Nile & L.Victoria further down enhances its appeal.
The staff is very kind & thorough, the gym, pool, steam or sauna & the roof top lounge will do you good evening justice after a long day.
I only wish the rooms would be upgraded as they do not reflect the 'paradise' element of the hotel.
The staff paid attention to detail; the food was very delicious with a variety of choices! I loved their chicken wings and chicken fried steak!!!
My room was pretty upscale, complete with a jacuzzi and A/C!
Am not a gym person but they had an average gym and good swimming pool right by the Nile!
They also organized a 48hour trip to the National park and organized a ride for us to the airport.
I was expecting something very basic and not to any type of normal western hotel standards. I was wrong and extremely surprised with the Hotel Paradise.
Hotel is split into two, with the original hotel and a separate annex across the road. The annex part of the hotel is brand new, and although the rooms are small they are very good.
The older main hotel was my favourite though, rooms are bigger and although they are dated in comparison with the newer annex have character and private balconies surrounding a lovely court yard garden.
The hotel has recently built a pool complex with attached sun terrace and bar, this part of the hotel is fabulous and would not be out of place in a luxury Caribbean setting.
Breakfast which was part of the deal was excellent, lots of choice and the food cooked very well.
Staff and the service they offer are excellent; most speak good English and will really try to accommodate any requests.
I recommend this hotel highly and will be staying their again on my next visit to this awesome town Jinja
