Kiangazi House is a small extremely comfortable lodge run by a small number of Kenyans!
It is run well , the staff are friendly helpful !
The rooms are well decorated. Simple but very comfortable with large baths for those that like a hot tub.
It was an excellent experience compounded by Chris ,our guide for the game drives ,managing to show us the the solitary resident male lion in the Oserian reserve .
The highlight of the trip was the sundowners they served around a campfire within the reserve.
It was an almost spiritual experience to watch the herds of game on the plain with the mountains in the background as dusk set in while sipping a decent glass of red.
The food served at all meals was excellent. The
Chef discussed what we would like to eat at dinner just after we completed
lunch.
He made kid friendly meals like spaghetti for our younger one while we had more elaborate 4 course meals.
The staff was very friendly and efficient. The
house itself has a very relaxed feel and dollops of colonial charm .We'll
definitely be going back for a longer stay soon.
If you are visiting with kids I would recommend
that you take the garden rooms which are slightly apart from the main house and
have attached verandas with a great view
Kiangazi House is a luxurious and spacious country home overlooking Lake Naivasha Olaidien Bay in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. With delightful lush and colourful gardens, rolling lawns and a view to compliment the beautiful setting, it’s ironic that “Kiangazi” is the Swahili word meaning “hot and dry season”.
