Naivasha Kongoni Lodge

You are Here: › Kongoni Lodge

Went down to Kongoni Lodge in Naivasha after traveling through the Mara and other areas, was the perfect way to wind down for a few days before the two hour trip to Nairobi and home.

Seriously amazing place. Very captivating, with wildlife surrounding you every step of the way.

The service is impeccable, and the food is utterly delicious! On top of everything,

the management manages to juggle attention to detail and running a fantastic animal charity - ARR.

highly recommended!!

Kongoni Lodge is everything you expect from a Kenyan lodge on a wild life preserve - beautiful views, lots of interesting game nearby, comfortable accommodation.

Where they go above and beyond is in the personal interest the proprietors show you, and the astoundingly good food.

Many lodges have a B&B feel that makes guests slightly feel as if they are staying in someone's private home and they are interlopers.

At Kongoni, the ownership and staff went over themselves to see to it that we felt welcome and at ease.

Our group was there on business, yet the lodge made sure the one hour per day was packed with fun, interesting, rewarding moments.

Well done! Expect reliable internet in the main house, good food served at flexible times, and a strong interest in who you are and what you need.

Do not expect over the top posh or lots of fluff. Anyone from an intrepid adventurer to an older person can expect to have a wonderful time.

A beautiful, historical house overlooking Lake Naivasha… with lots and lots to do.

We went game spotting; took boat trips to see the flamingos, relaxed around the pool, played bridge in front of the fire as well as feeding the warthogs on the verandah.

Steve, our host was wonderful, the staff were perfect (not too fussy but we never felt neglected) and such fun, and the standard of food was way above our expectations.
