Longonot House Ranch House changed hands in 2010 and is now owned by a welcoming German and his Kenyan wife.
The rooms are clean, spacious and pleasant and the food is good.
Horse riding is available on excellent horses which frequently win races in Nairobi.
The views are superb, and it is great to be able to go walking (or riding) on your own among the wildlife, and since visibility is generally good and there are few predators, this is probably relatively safe.
Just stayed a long weekend at the Longont Ranch Lodge (hotel), which was amazing! Great fresh food, fabulous views over Lake Naivasha and the Mt Longonot itself.
Great horse riding - being surrounded by 12 giraffes while on a horse is quite amazing!
Super friendly staff, very clean and organized.
Ask for one of the house/cottage at the end (sort of towards Lake Naivasha from the main house), there you´ll wake up with a fabulous view over the lake.
Two bedrooms (twin beds in both unfortunately), good living room, and own terrace.
There´s also a smaller
separate house with double bed - also fabulous view and great Terrance.
