Arusha Meru Mbega Lodge

800m from the entrance to Arusha National Park, Meru Mbega Lodge has a really good location, and it's a good base camp for both mountain and safari.

The bungalows are modestly furnished, but clean and the beds are comfortable (we stayed there before and after the Mt. Meru climb, and also after the safari, so we experienced different rooms).

The garden is great for relaxation, and the food very good. The staff are friendly and helpful. Not a luxury lodge, but a great place to wash off the dirt from the mountain, nurse sore feet, and chat with other climbers.

The Meru Mbega Lodge on the slopes of the Mount Meru just on the edge of the Arusha National Park.

Activities include Mount Meru & Kilimanjaro Climbing and safaris within the Arusha National Park.
