Ras Nungwi Beach Hotel Zanzibar

You are Here: › Ras Nungwi Beach Hotel

We were unsure which resort to chose to avoid being in either a fully family oriented property or too "couply" and Ras Nungwi Beach Hotel in Zanzibar ended up being the perfect choice.

Great size of the resort, not too big and right on the perfect part of the coast,

swimming in the sea was possible at all times of the day and we never had to wade through wafts of seaweed, but simply dived into the sea.

The setting along the beach is picture perfect, white sand, good sunbeds, turquoise water and the odd staff member passing by with fresh fruit or asking if you wanted a drink.

Food at the restaurant was OUTSTANDING and the best we had during our 2 week holiday in Tansania/Zanzibar - great menu and wine selection every night.

Staff were so charming and always happy to help, chat or simply smile at you. The rooms were great too, we received an up-grade to an ocean front bungalow and loved it.

We treated ourselves to a massage almost every day and the girls were fantastic!

This is the perfect place to unwind, relax and simply let time go by. We never managed to explore Nungwi properly and probably would have needed a little help or guidance with this.

The hotel is a bit 'secluded' from the busier part of the Nungwi beach which is further east but we liked this. We did go to the other part of the Nungwi beach, near the Z hotel, for a day but preferred the more tranquil setting of Ras Nungwi.

If we return to Zanzibar, I would definitely return to this hotel.
