Tamarind Mombasa Restaurant

You are Here: › Tamarind Mombasa restaurant

While rather on the pricey side, Tamarind Mombasa restaurant is really a must do if you are in Mombasa.

The chilli crab really is out of this world and service is impeccable.

Like all things in life you get what you pay for and in this instance you pay for it.

Though it must be said that the portion size of the chilli crap is more than sufficient for two people, hence if on a budget or if you have even a normal appetite do share.

Tamarind is probably the most traditional touristic restaurant of Mombasa north coast, well known to all the tourist operators and locals, is a must if you visit Mombasa.

We had a wonderful dinner, service excellent and excellent food, a bit prized but the scenic view of the old Town by night and the fresh breeze of the sea make you living a unique moment.

The atmosphere is complemented (normally) by a live (local) band. The food; seafood in particular; is exquisite.

While slightly on the more expensive side, I don't believe I have had any better seafood around the coast.

A must visit if you come to Mombasa Reccommend the Grilled Lobster (around 500grams for a decent adult helping) or the Chilli Crab!
