The Sportsman's arms Hotel has remained to be the highlight of Nanyuki mid-range hotels(i.e. if not looking for the 5* facilities well offered by Mt Kenya safari club, sweetwaters etc))with its rich history and fame. Having stayed here severally, on work and holiday basis..
The hotel is pretty basic, has a pool and restaurant area, pub and night life. I liked the fact that the night life was right there at the hotel.
The rooms could do with an upgrade they are really old school and overall are average.
Service is good. Food was average, as well the variety is nothing spectacular.
The restaurant has a beautiful sitting area outside, which is recently done and was nice.
Available within is a small shop which was helpful in getting some toothpaste :) Its within the town so very close to the Nanyuki mall where you can get all the stuff you need plus ATM services
This hotel continues to be a great place to be but they'd better up their game to current standards lest someone comes over and tips the scales....more so with the opening up of the Mt. Kenya circuit.
